Lime Connect is currently accepting applications for our 2022 Fellowship Program, and we invite your students to apply! The Fellowship Program for Students with Disabilities is designed for highly accomplished rising juniors (sophomores) with disabilities. The program includes a leadership & development symposium, individual coaching, webinars, mentoring, and a lifelong Fellows community.

Lime Connect is hosting a virtual information session for this program on Monday, February 14th at 3pm ET, where students can get their questions answered live and hear from Fellows in previous classes. Those interested can register here.

For those who cannot make the information session, we will also be hosting drop-in office hours with our Director of Professional Development and Fellows from previous classes! Those interested can click the links below to join the meeting:

The Lime Connect Fellowship Program

We encourage university sophomores with disabilities to apply!

Designed for highly accomplished rising university juniors with disabilities, the Fellowship Program kicks off with a leadership & development symposium in New York in July. The program offers individual coaching, webinars, mentoring, and Fellows community discussions throughout the year. Fellows also become part of the larger Lime Connect Fellows Community and have access to ongoing professional development, community, and networking opportunities throughout their careers. Apply by Sunday, February 27th at 12am PT!

Join Lime Connect’s Community Groups!

These groups are open to Lime Network Members – students and alumni with disabilities can create a profile here.

 

Lime Connect is hosting community groups for our Network Members, and we are excited to have you join us! These monthly groups will be a space for members to share and connect, and an opportunity to build community with other Lime Network Members who share similar life experiences.

The LGBTQIA2S+ Community Group meets on the second Thursday of each month at 8pm ET. The second meeting is scheduled for February 10th at 8pm ET and new members are encouraged to join! This month’s discussion will focus on what it means to have multiple identities, particularly for people of color with disabilities who are also LGBTQIA2S+. Everyone has a unique experience of their intersecting identities, and this month’s meeting will be a space to share that experience together.

The Veterans Community Group is for Network Members who are military service veterans, and meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6pm ET. The next meeting is scheduled for February 8th at 6pm ET.

LinkedIn: Rock Your Profile – February 24th @ 4pm ET

This session is open to Lime Network Members – students and alumni with disabilities can create a profile here.

Join Jim Marcmin, Lime Connect Network member and LinkedIn exec/expert, to learn about how to create a successful LinkedIn profile. Jim will share profile best practices, demonstrate how to utilize LinkedIn to connect to opportunities, and highlight some of the top accessibility features of the platform. You will leave this session empowered to use LinkedIn to tell your unique story and get connected to career-building opportunities.

Voices of Lime: The Intersecting Identities of Black People who are Disabled – February 25th @ 12pm ET

This is the next panel in our intersectionality series and is open to the public – please join us, and share with your networks!
 
Join Lime Connect and Nancy Oduro, a Lime Connect board member who has lived experience with these intersectionalities, as she moderates a panel discussion with Lime Connect’s Black Network members who live with disabilities.  During this discussion, we will explore how disability intersects with a person’s race and how this intersection impacts a Black person’s approach to disclosure, networking, career search, and work in general.

BMO Capital Markets Lime Connect Equity Through Education Scholarship – applications Open Now, Due March 21st!

Lime Connect wants to support you on your academic journey!
  • $10,000 USD (US) or $5,000 USD (Canada) for the 2022-2023 academic year
  • Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students, enrolled for the Fall 2023 semester
  • Applicants must be studying business/ commerce, computer science, engineering, math, physics, statistics, or a related discipline
  • Interest in a career in Financial Services with a focus on Capital Markets is preferred
  • A resume, academic transcript, essay, and letter of recommendation are required on the application
  • Applicants are also encouraged to apply for the BMO Capital Markets Summer 2023 Internship program
