The Lions Plus Program is a fee-based program for students with documented disabilities who are affiliated with ARC, eligible for services, enrolled in the upcoming semester, and are interested in receiving support beyond legally mandated ADA approved accommodations. In this program, students meet with a Learning Support Specialist on a regular basis to guide their transition and progress throughout their college career. Lions Plus students work toward developing and establishing habits and skills that promote independence, self advocacy, and forming positive social relationships by focusing on time management, tracking and organizing assignments, and addressing other challenges that arise throughout the semester. Currently, the Lions Plus program includes individual coaching and group workshops with informal peer engagement. Space is limited and will be filled on a first come first serve basis.
Our enrollment process will open in the Spring and we recommend students become affiliated with the ARC office as soon as their eligibility process opens opens on May 1st. In the meantime, if you’d like to be included in communications going forward, you can click here to fill out our inquiry form to ensure you are included on any email communication updates, including the Lions Plus Registration Form which allows us to gauge our expected roster and acts as your placeholder for the waitlist.
If you or your student has been accepted to TCNJ, you may request the Lions Plus Registration Form by emailing our Learning Support Specialists, Allison Larthey at lartheya@tcnj.edu or Kartika Kumari at kumarik@tcnj.edu.
