Kate Austin joined the Accessibility Resource Center in January of 2024. As an Accessibility Specialist, Kate works with undergraduate and graduate students who are in the processing of requesting accommodations as well as advocating and supporting students with approved accommodations. Kate completed her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology and Spanish from TCNJ and a Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University. She has worked for 25 years in the New Jersey public school system on Child Study Teams throughout the state. She has worked for Temple University and LaSalle University in the Accessibility Offices prior to coming to TCNJ. Outside of work, Kate enjoys spending time with family, friends, and pets. She loves being outdoors and being active while listening to good podcasts and/or music.
